Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (36 Hours: 3p-3a)

6-The Behavioral health RN provides physical emotional and psychological support to patients with various mental health concerns and assists other nursing staff in coordinating care for this population. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to identify patient needs and develop a plan to meet those needs. The patient population served is consistent with the admission/discharge criteria; renders direct and indirect outcome nursing care through the application of the nursing process; functions within policies, practice guidelines and nursing standards of SMH in accordance with the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency.36 Hours - 3PM - 3AMRequired Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:Minimum of 1 years of providing care to behavioral health patientsAbility to communicate effectively with patients and families to facilitate a therapeutic relationshipExcellent communication and customer services skills requiredSuccessful completion of orientation and annual competencies.

Educational

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for registered nurse.Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.License/Certification: Current Massachusetts state RN licenseDocumentation of ongoing clinical competencies and continuing educationCurrent BLS certification32 hours/week, day or evening shift
