Behavioral Heath Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescents through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. BHT’S work under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Job Duties/Responsibilities Observations: Take and record vital signs properly.
Monitor each patient’s location per the Observation Policy and Procedure. Treatment Planning: Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient. Ensure awareness of patient's individualized plan of care including goals and interventions.
Milieu Management: Comply with the established policies and procedures requiring a safe, clean and therapeutic environment. Practice universal precautions and environmental safety guidelines. Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care responsibilities.

Experience working in psychiatric setting strongly preferred. Handle With Care and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Providers required. Training provided at the facility.
Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
