Days | 3x12s (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends Your Experience Matters Tampa General Behavioral Health Hospital is operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Tampa General Hospital. As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) , you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their behavioral health treatment journey. How You'll Contribute A Behavioral Health Technician who excels in this role: Provides direct patient care and support under the direction of the clinical treatment team. Assists with implementing individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions. Conducts and supports psychoeducational groups, life-skills training, and recreational activities.
Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment through continuous patient observation and monitoring. Documents patient behaviors and reports significant changes to nursing staff. Supports patients with daily routine activities and treatment participation.
Assists with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. De-escalation certification required within 30 days of hire. Experience One (1) year of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting preferred.
Experience working with psychiatric, dual-diagnosis, chemical dependency, or geriatric patients preferred.
