You’ll need
Education
✓Education: Associates Degree in HR or related field, experience and other training may be substituted for education.
Qualifications
✓3 to 5 years of HR and/or benefit plan administration required
✓Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
✓Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
✓Ability to present technical and complex information in an understandable way at all levels of the organization
✓Strong partnering skills with internal and external partners/vendors
✓Ability to work effectively in an open office environment
✓Demonstrated passion for helping employees achieve well-being and understanding of system-wide benefits and retirement programs
✓Broad knowledge of retirement plans, IRS, ERISA regulations and fiduciary basics
✓Knowledge of retirement and benefits administration processes and procedures

About the role
Benefits Specialist is responsible for hands-on, day-to-day administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life & disability as well as Defined Contribution 403(b) and 401(k), 457(b) and 457 (f) and Defined Benefit Pension Plans system wide.
