Education
✓High school diploma or GED is required.
Qualifications

✓Knowledge of medical insurance processes including eligibility verification, authorizations, and referrals.
✓Strong analytical skills to review insurance coverage and resolve patient access issues.
✓Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate work within clinic schedules.
✓Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and scheduling systems.
✓Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Dental experience is highly preferred.

About the role
The Benefits Coordinator Intermediate under the School of Dentistry provides patient access and insurance coordination functions in support of clinical operations. Responsible for verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations and referrals, supporting financial counseling activities, and serving as a resource to clinic staff on insurance and benefits questions.
