Biomedical Technician I

✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Completion of a U.S. DoD Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Technician program
✓Internal employees must meet all mandatory competencies in current position in order to qualify for promotion within IT.
Education
✓Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology or equivalent field
✓High school diploma or equivalent AND Two (2) years of experience with repairs and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, or electrical assemblies.
Qualifications
✓1.
✓1. One (1) year of experience with repairs and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, or electrical assemblies.
✓Must be able to work under conditions of stress caused by the nature of the mission, which usually involves the life and well-being of the patients and the necessity to meet deadlines which are out of his/her control.
✓Technical, academic and mental demands are high.
✓The work performed is of precise nature requiring long periods of concentration.
✓Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
✓3. Ability to work well under high stress conditions.
✓4. Ability to work independently or cooperatively as a team member.
✓5. Ability to adapt to various workloads and assignments.
✓6. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary groups.
✓7. Ability to sit and or stand for extended periods of time.
✓8. Must have reading and comprehension ability
✓9. Must be able to type.
✓10. Possess good oral and written communication skills.
✓11. Ability to prioritize tasks.
✓12. Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment. Must be flexible.
