The Technologist will process the day-to-day activities and workflow on a given shift within the lab. This will include ensuring SOPs, practices, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations are followed.
Triaging and performing product testing Ensuring optimal product inventory levels Overseeing quality control on automated testing instruments Identifying and implementing process improvements
Valid NYS License for Clinical Laboratory Technologist Knowledgeable in both NYSDOH and Joint Commission Regulatory requirements for Blood Bank Minimum of 5 years experience in Transfusion Medicine Knowledge of a computerized laboratory information system Ability to interpret lab results and prepare slides for study Effective communication skills Bachelor's Degree required
