About the role

Under indirect supervision, operates dual energy x-ray absorptiometry ( DXA ) and/or other densitometry equipment in order to perform scans of the lumbar spine, proximal femur and/or forearm that measure the calcium content of bones and are utilized by physicians to screen for, diagnose, manage and treat osteoporosis and other metabolic diseases.
