Join our Team We are looking for a compassionate, caring and dedicated Cancer Registrar/Oncology Data Specialist to join our team and help us continue our tradition of excellence. Job Overview The cancer registrar is an expert on all types of cancer Abstracts oncology patient records and inputs data into designated software system. Completes case-finding and follow-up of reported cancer cases.
Ensures accurate and timely reporting of cancer cases to the State, as required by law. Maintains records of the Cancer Registry following the guidelines of the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer. Compiles and submits data to the National Cancer Data Bank.
Licensure / Certifications /
Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) required. Associate Degree in Cancer Registry management (CRM), Health Information Management (HIM) or associates degree with college level anatomy and physiology required with Certification by National Cancer Registrars Association immediately following eligibility.
