Paid Time Off Medical, Dental, Vision 403b Retirement Benefit Tuition Reimbursement Griffin Faculty Physicians seeks a full-time Cardiac Device Technician to perform various clinical needs at a busy Cardiac EP office. Job Summary The Cardio-diagnostic Technologist performs a variety of noninvasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures including performing EKG's, event monitoring application and pacemaker interrogation.
The Device Technician also supports clinic operations by rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing 12-lead EKGs, reviewing medical histories, reconciling medications, and assisting with patient education. Additional responsibilities include chart preparation, pre-procedure calls, coordination with device manufacturers, inventory management, and assisting with administrative workflows to ensure efficient department operations.
Primary Responsibilities Perform in-office interrogation of pacemakers, ICDs, CRT devices, and implantable loop recorders. Review and triage remote monitoring transmissions through Pacemate. Escalate urgent or abnormal device findings to the physician or APP for clinical review.
Support MRI device clearance workflows, including pre- and post-MRI interrogations as appropriate. Perform 12-lead EKGs and ambulatory monitor placement (Holter, Zio, Bardy, etc.). Room patients for office visits, obtain vital signs, perform medication reconciliation, and update medical histories.
Prepare charts for clinic visits and procedures. Coordinate with device manufacturers regarding recalls, warranty information, and technical support. Maintain accurate documentation to support billing, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance.
Assist with inventory management and ordering of device-related supplies. Triage patient phone calls, portal messages, and device alerts as appropriate. Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Medical Assistant program.
Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS/IBHRE) preferred. Experience One to two years of experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, or cardiac diagnostics preferred. Working knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
Ability to recognize normal and abnormal cardiac rhythms. Experience with pacemaker, ICD, CRT, or loop recorder interrogation preferred. Experience with remote monitoring platforms and cardiac device manufacturers (Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, Biotronik) preferred.
