Continuously observes the central cardiac monitoring station, recognizing and documenting changes in cardiac rhythms and reporting major changes to nursing staff. Maintains safe alarm limits at all times on all monitors. 2. Performs nonclinical nursing tasks for the Critical Care Unit.

Acts as unit receptionist, demonstrating tact and discretion, protecting the confidentiality of patient information at all times. Efficiently utilizes the supplies and equipment in the unit. Maintains telemetry and unit log books.

Assures proper charging of unit equipment/supplies, when these items are used outside of the CCU. Sets priorities and organizes the work load on unit to facilitate the timely and effective delivery of patient services. 3.
