✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Obtain ACSM certification within 1 year of hire required
✓Certified in BCLS required, ACLS within 90 days of hire required
Education
✓Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology or equivalent in related health field required
Qualifications
✓The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this job:
✓Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
✓Strong communication skills
✓Strong exercise science knowledge base for primary and secondary disease prevention, with the ability to compute MET level and exercise prescriptions in accordance with ACSM standards
✓Manual dexterity in use of equipment and supplies
✓Ability to understand stress test results
✓Knowledgeable of the psychosocial, physiological, developmental, and spiritual needs of the young adult, middle adult, and older adult to provide appropriate care and intervention either personally or through staff
✓Ability to utilize a computer and hospital applications
1 year of experience in the field of cardiac rehab preferred

About the role

Responsible for designing, evaluating and supervising exercise programs for Cardiac Rehab patients in accordance with evidence-based training principles and within the limits of the patient's medical diagnosis.
