Certifications
✓BLS certification through The American Heart Association and Registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and pass the registry within one year of hire.
Education
✓High School Graduate or equivalent
Qualifications
✓Accreditation with ARDMS or CCI. Passed boards.
✓From 1 to 5 years experience required in ultrasound procedures equipment, CW Doppler, and related anatomy and pathological conditions of the heart, valves, pericardium, and blood vessels.
✓Prepare quantitative echocardiographic measurements for reporting.
✓Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation
✓Computer literate in order to work with applicable software.
✓Demonstrates responsibility for checking orders and obtaining orders for testing.
