Licensure
✓Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
✓Must be admissible to sit for either the Canadian or American Board or be certified by the Canadian Board and are members of either the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, American board certification or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) board certification.
✓Board certification in area of specialty must be obtained within five years of employment
✓Be legally licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota, depending on the location of the practice to which they are assigned
Education
✓Doctorate within specified field of medical practice from respective accredited school.

✓Altru Health System is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our growing heart and vascular program. This is an exciting opportunity to practice the full breadth of CT surgery with strong APP support and the ability to operate every day.
✓Position Highlights
✓Robust APP Model: Dedicated APP support for inpatient rounding and surgical assist, including an APP specifically trained to be in the OR with you.
✓Diverse Case Mix: See the full spectrum of cardiothoracic care—heart, lung, and general CT cases.
✓High-Volume OR Experience: Ability to operate daily with a case variety that keeps your full CT skill set sharp.
✓TAVR Opportunities: Participate in TAVR procedures as part of our expanding structural heart program.
✓Flexible Integration of Skills: If you have vascular experience, there is flexibility to incorporate vascular procedures into your practice.
✓Collaborative Team Culture: Work alongside experienced cardiac and vascular surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and a large advanced practice provider team.
✓Licensed MD/DO in ND and MN
✓This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
✓This position may be eligible for visa sponsorship and candidates requiring sponsorship are welcome to apply.
