Qualifications
✓One year of prior cardiovascular lab experience.
✓As of April 1, 2016: Cardiac Rhythms class within six months of employment.
✓Must be proficient in roles of scrub or monitoring staff in the cardiovascular lab and able to independently perform.
✓Ability to rapidly interpret lab data and make recommendations on the data obtained, knowledge of general radiology and practice.
✓Primary – required (routine) to do the job
✓Secondary – required for the job, but mostly be exception
Infection Control: Initial and Ongoing training in dealing with infection control. Trainings could include but are not limited to, blood borne pathogens, bodily fluids and bio hazardous materials as it applies to your daily work environment. preferred
Patient Interaction: Frequent preferred

About the role

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the CVOR/Cath Lab Manager the Cath lab Tech performs in the role of scrub in the Cath lab. The cath lab tech assists in the performance of invasive and non-invasive coronary and peripheral procedures and pacemaker implants in the cath lab. The tech will also assist the charge nurse with recovery room duties as needed and serves in the role of preceptor for new personnel.
