The American College of Cardiology has recognized UF Health Leesburg Hospital for its demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain by awarding a Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI and Resuscitation – its highest and best level of accreditation.
The hospital also offers world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery, lifesaving emergency care, stroke treatment, labor & delivery, and so much more. ResponsibilitiesThe EP Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, assist physician in a scrub-assistant role, and circulates to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants, cardiac cath procedures to ensures safe patient care.
This is a prn day shift position. QualificationsEducationAssociate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, LPN license, or Paramedic license. In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) ORRegistered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)Licensure/Certification/RegistrationAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or
-FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license OR-FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license OR-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR-Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification-any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fieldsBLS requiredACLS requiredSpecial Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience RequiredMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
