✓Coverage: In addition to regularly scheduled work days, the CVT provides scheduled on call coverage on a rotating basis during department off hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified EKG Technician (CET), or equivalent credential preferred.
Education
✓High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications
✓Knowledge of cardiovascular terminology and diagnostic procedures.
✓Ability to perform 12-lead EKGs accurately.
✓Strong understanding of patient scheduling, insurance verification, and prior authorization processes.
✓Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
✓Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
✓Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
✓Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and standard office software.

About the role

Non-Invasive Cardiology Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and clinical staff in a busy cardiology practice.

What you’ll do
Prepare patients for cardiovascularPrepare patients for cardiovascular diagnostic testing and examinations
Obtain and record patientObtain and record patient vital signs, medical history updates, and relevant clinical information
Perform and document 12-leadPerform and document 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs) in accordance with established protocols
Prepare examination and procedurePrepare examination and procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functional
