Performs a variety of technical duties to assist nurses and physicians while participating in the pre and post recovery care of patients who have undergone Cath Lab procedures Key
Performs pre and post care for patients. Performs and assists with sheath pulling responsibilities. Prepares sterile trays and equipment; preps patients for a variety of invasive cardiac procedures.
Connects patients to andoperatesmonitoring equipment Performs peripheral IV insertion and changes hemodynamic line dressings according to departmental procedures. Suctionsendotracheal or tracheostomy tube. Administers incentive spirometry andoxygen; and administers M onitors cardiac console unit andobserves EKG's; identifies , interprets and logs threatening arrhythmias; notifieslicensed professional staff of arrhythmias.
Checks patient cardiac bedside alarms to ensure proper settings
AA degree preferred, EKG Basic Arrhythmia Recognition Course preferred
1-3 years of experience Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR, Current Maryland CNA certification
