Builds, repairs and maintains various facility structures such as furniture, equipment, partitions and other components of the hospital buildings, using hand and power tools according to accepted trade practices and written and oral instructions.
Installs/builds/tears down various materials to meet the project specifications. May include foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, counters, work stations, partitions, doors, glass windows, trim and molding, hardware repairs and locksmithing. Ensures all work is completed to meet applicable codes, standards and plans Repair worn and broken wooden furniture using hand and power tools Perform other related duties as required Qualifications Education Completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent experience Experience 1 year of carpentry experience Healthcare or Commercial carpentry experience Language Skills Effective communication skills (written, verbal, listening) Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Ability to work with wood, metal, concrete, plastics & composite materials Knowledge of building materials and their uses Ability to maintain work job site safety and follow established safety rules and regulations as well as maintain a safe and clean environment Ability to operate various woodworking equipment, machinery and hand tools We take great care of careers.
