The Case Specialist I works as part of the Rally Family Visitation team providing direct services to families referred through the Family Court, primarily in Marin, San Francisco and/or San Mateo. Specialists work with Case Coordinators and Supervisors to deliver professional services centering the best interest of children and protecting adult survivors of domestic violence. The Case Specialist's work schedule is determined by program needs and may include holidays, weekends and weekdays/evenings, as well as providing on-call coverage during direct service hours.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $22.67 - $32.01 (Hourly Rate). Senior Specialists may perform observation and documentation of behavioral interactions between parents and children directly or oversee per diem staff and/or volunteers, ensuring that visits and documentation meet all standards of practice. 5 Yes Working closely with the program team to implement family visitation plans and maintain secure and welcoming service environments. 5 Yes Responding to inquiries for program services and communicating professionally with referred parents and/or external parties as assigned. 15 Yes Documenting all client interactions according to program guidelines. 10 Yes Compiling, writing, and editing assigned visitation reports in alignment with documentation, grammatical, and stylistic program standards. 5 Yes Collecting, compiling, and maintaining the integrity of client service and demographic data. 5 Yes Performs other duties as assigned 100% Required Qualifications; High school graduation/GED A minimum of 1-2+ years of professional work experience preferably in human services or related field (years of education in a social sciences field beyond High School will be considered Knowledge of and experience with trauma-informed practices Experience working with children and/or families from diverse backgrounds Demonstrable and excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal) in English Aptitude for conflict de-escalation, limit setting, and conflict resolution Ability to identify when to escalate situations and issues to supervisors and/or senior providers General PC knowledge and administrative skills Required License / Certifications Live Scan fingerprinting, background checks, and active TrustLine registration is required within the first 30 days of employment.
California’s Judicial Standards 5.20 Training Completion or successful completion of the qualification standard training upon hire, as soon as the Training is available.
Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology or related field. Fluency in a second language preferred, particularly Bilingual/Bicultural Spanish or Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin). Experience working with families experiencing obstacles or in conflict, primarily domestic violence.
Strong knowledge of child development, child abuse prevention, and child exposure to domestic violence. Experience with case management, human service delivery and/or in a social work setting. Demonstrable administrative skills including database management, typing, and advanced computer literacy.
