and Responsibilities As our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse you will provide high-level nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures. Every day, you will be a part of a specialized multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and technical skills to monitor patient hemodynamic status, and assist with procedural interventions.

Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, verify informed consent, review lab results/medications, and prepare the patient for procedures.
Assist the interventional cardiologist/radiologist during procedures. Continuously monitor and interpret EKG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and invasive hemodynamic pressures Respond immediately to patient complications. Proficiently operate emergency equipment including crash carts, defibrillators, and temporary pacemakers.
Administer procedural sedation, antiplatelet therapy, anticoagulants, and other cardiac medications per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions. Manage arterial/venous sheath removal, ensure adequate hemostasis at the access site, and provide patient education regarding post-procedure restrictions and discharge instructions. Maintain precise, real-time documentation and ensure all procedural supplies are stocked and equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
