Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $15.60 - $20.25/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview Coordinates and executes all transportation needs for residents to include medical appointments, facility outings etc. Assists all departments with transportation needs of residents and/or potential prospects.
Responsible for vehicle maintenance and general up keep. Responsible for helping transportation coordinator get vehicles in for maintenance and service calls.
Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors consistently. Strives to meet/exceed the needs of the facility's customers/residents by demonstrating flexibility and sense of urgency to create a service excellence experience. Responsible for assuring safe practices in accordance with RHS policies and procedures.
Responsible for notifying Transportation Coordinator or Director of Resident Services when required vehicle maintenance is needed. Demonstrates the ability to plan transportation routes to decrease vehicle mileage and gas consumption. Completes paper work to ensure that all records are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsible for maintaining transportation and maintenance logs for facility vehicles as well as logging residents participation on facility outings. Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness (meeting work schedules, work assignments and completed by deadlines, received minimal customer complaints). Maintains positive interactions with fellow team members, residents and visitors.
Assists customers with billing inquiries, questions or concerns. Provides follow up in a timely manner. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred) Experience 2 years Experience driving commercial vehicles (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications Commercial Drivers License (CDL) - DMV Upon Hire(Required) Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) First Aid - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) Drives personal vehicle for RHS business 25% or more of the time to perform essential functions of the job Valid Drivers License Required To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at https://www.riversideonline.com/careers .
