✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
✓Successful completion of OSF-approved EKG/Telemetry Rhythm Interpretation Training and certification within established departmental timelines.
Education
✓High School Diploma/ GED
✓Associate degree in a healthcare-related field
Qualifications
✓Successful completion of Centralized Monitor Unit-specific onboarding and multi-patient centralized monitoring orientation within established departmental timelines.
✓Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
✓Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and concisely in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication systems with care teams at facilities the technician may not physically work within.
✓Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
✓Experience utilizing electronic medical records and enterprise cardiac monitoring systems.
✓Previous bedside telemetry, cardiac monitoring, or patient care experience.
✓Six months or more of customer service experience.
Previous centralized monitoring or multi-facility telemetry experience strongly preferred.
