✓Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
✓Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC).
✓Certified as an Athletic Trainer in South Carolina by DHEC.
✓The Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) reports to the Sports Medicine Manager.
Education
✓The AT will be assigned to a high school and provide community-based point of service for sports related prevention, care, coverage and rehabilitation, referral and marketing for musculoskeletal injuries and sports related ailments within a defined environment for athletes
Graduate of an accredited college with a BS/BA. (Master's degree in Athletic Training preferred).
Qualifications
✓Must be able to adjust communication both verbal and non-verbal to interact appropriately and effectively with a wide variety of age groups including school age adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
✓Weekend and evening hours to cover practices, games, tournaments, and special events.
✓school aged, adolescent, early adult, middle adult and late adult.
✓Under the general supervision of the physician, physical therapist, physician assistant and or nurse practitioner.
