You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current unencumbered Athletic Trainer license/registration as established by the State of Oregon.
✓Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Certifications
✓American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire.
✓Presents a professional image at all functions.
✓Maintenance of mandated Evidence Based Medicine Continuing Education Requirements.
✓Demonstrates proficiency in operation, maintenance and use of all therapeutic equipment available in specific clinical environment.
✓Complies with Joint Commission guidelines for education and patient care.
✓Demonstrates confidentiality regarding patient and co-worker information according to PHI level of access.
Education
✓Bachelor degree or Bachelor of Science with a focus in Athletic Training.
Master’s preferred.
1-3 years of Athletic Training experience at a high school or professional team. preferred
Qualifications
✓Knowledge and skill in the recognition, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
✓Knowledge of all local, state, and federal rules regarding legal and ethical patient care.
✓Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, communication skills and ability to work as a team player with coaches, parents, athletic departments, and colleagues from other athletic programs.
✓Excellent customer services skills in educating athletes, parents, and coaching staff of the organization’s services, facilities, locations, and programs.
✓Extensive knowledge of Concussion protocols and return to play criteria.
