Job Summary and Qualifications Certified Hyperbaric Tech (CHT) - PRN/Per Diem We are currently seeking a Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) to join our team on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis.
As a CHT, you administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients and will also be responsible for the safe, and effective operation of the hyperbaric chambers and related support systems, acting as the outside attendant and control operator during clinical treatments. Tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: P erform oxygen therapy treatment protocols as prescribed by a physician Observe the patient and the hyperbaric systems during the course of oxygen treatments reporting unusual occurrences Accurately document patient condition and the administration of care in the patient record in a timely manner Take an active role in hyperbaric medicine education programs and orient hospital and other personnel to hyperbaric oxygen therapy Contribute to a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment
HS Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 12 months in a hyperbaric environment Valid Certified Hyperbaric Tech (CHT) by the National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology (NBDHMT) BLS (Basic Life Support) HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation. We are a recipient of the American Heart Association’s Gold Fit Friendly Designation.
