Responsibilities Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of certification Perform limited radiographic imaging and ensure high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with provider orders and radiation safety standards (Limited Radiography only) Prepare patients for imaging procedures and maintain radiology equipment and required documentation (Limited Radiography only) Educate patients on health, medications, imaging procedures, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required.

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required: National Healthcare Association American Association of Medical Assistants National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant National Association of Health Professionals American Registry of Medical Assistants American Allied Health American Medical Technologists Current Iowa Limited Radiography Permit required for positions hiring/requiring Limited Radiography.

Knowledge of radiographic safety practices and the ability to perform limited diagnostic imaging in accordance with provider orders and regulatory standards preferred. Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred. Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
