More about our team Join our team on a 27-bed Medical-Surgical unit where compassionate, patient-centered care is at the heart of everything we do. As part of a collaborative team of Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), you will care for a diverse patient population while building strong clinical skills in a supportive environment.
With a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and 1:12 CNA-to-patient ratio, you will play a vital role in comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, treatment administration, and promoting patient comfort and safety. Our unit fosters teamwork, open communication, and professional growth, empowering you to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes every day. How you'll contribute A Med/Surg CNA who excels in this role: Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation. Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

What we're looking for Applicants should have a current listing as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the state of North Carolina Division of Facility Services and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Additional requirements include:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Licenses: Current Listing as a Certified Nursing Assistant with the state of North Carolina Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property in a facility that provides Nursing Care.
