Certifications
✓Current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) certification required.
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
The Household CNA I plays an important role in creating a home-like atmosphere by developing meaningful relationships with residents and understanding their individual preferences, routines, and care needs. preferred
Education
✓High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Qualifications
✓Less than one year of healthcare experience required.
✓Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office equipment.
✓Ability to safely utilize medical equipment, including Hoyer lifts and specialty beds.
✓Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
✓Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
✓Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
✓Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
✓Completion of annual nursing skills requirements and HealthStream education assignments.
Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
