A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is an individual licensed by the Texas board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with an established physician plan of care and in compliance with applicable licensure/certification requirements, the Texas State Practice Act, and Hunt Memorial Hospital District policies and procedures.
POSITION SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Reports To: Occupational Therapist, Department Director Supervises: Rehabilitation POSITION REQUIREMENTS Minimum Education Must maintain continuing education requirements as defined by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners. Minimum Work Experience No experience is required. Required Licenses/Certifications Graduate of an approved Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program with evidence of current licensure.
