About This Position: Cape Coral Hospital is a 303-bed nationally recognized acute care hospital serving Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, and Pine Island, offering advanced emergency, surgical, and women’s health services. As a Primary Stroke Center, DNV Hip and Knee Center of Excellence, and Leapfrog A-rated hospital, it is known for its patient-centered approach, strong clinical quality, and community wellness focus. A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Lee Health provides occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of the occupational therapist.
The COTA implements selected components of patient/client interventions and obtain data related to that intervention; make modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the Occupational Therapist o r to ensure patient/client safety and comfort; educate and interact Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistant students, technicians, volunteers, patients/clients families, caregivers; and respond to patient/client and environmental emergency situations.

About our Rehabilitation Team: Our Rehabilitation Services team is one of the largest and most dynamic in the region.
With over 700 skilled professionals dedicated to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence through comprehensive, compassionate care. Our licensed physical, occupational, and speech therapists work closely with medical teams to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Beyond core therapy services, we offer a variety of specialty programs including neurological rehabilitation, vestibular and balance therapy, lymphedema management, pelvic health therapy, and oncology rehabilitation.
With services spanning acute care, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient settings, our team delivers exceptional, evidence-based care that restores function and enhances quality of life. What This Position Requires: Educational Requirements Required: Associate's in accredited COTA program ; Eligible Lee Health Candidates are required to graduate from an accredited program.
