Assists an Occupational Therapist with rehabilitative activities for patients who may have developmental, physical and emotional impairments.

Prepares equipment for treatment and may perform clerical duties for the department Performs a variety of tasks A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required Typically reports to an occupational therapist Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and

• Associate’s degree and Occupational Therapy Assistant certification and licensure in State of Idaho 2 years’ experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in the rehabilitation department Ability to work in a variety of patient care settings Medical terminology Working Conditions: Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position Typical equipment used in a clinical job Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment Must be able to assist in patient transfer About Kootenai Health: Kootenai Health is a highly esteemed healthcare organization serving patients throughout northern Idaho and the Inland Northwest.
