Licensure
✓Applicants are not required to be certified or even registered yet with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy upon applying to our positions.
✓Prepares required paperwork for Drug Enforcement Agency tracking purposes.
✓Candidate must be registered as a Technician Trainee, Registered Pharmacy Technician, or Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
✓All Trainee and Registered Technicians will be expected to become licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician once training is complete.
✓License must be in good standing.
Certifications
✓Applicant must pass a national certification examination (PTCB or ExCPT) at time of hire or within the first 90 days of employment if not already completed.
Education
✓High school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in college is preferred.
Qualifications
✓Must be at least 18 years of age.
✓Applicable background checks must be passed.
✓Must be proficient in the use of computers to input patient billing data.
✓All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
Prior experience, in retail pharmacy, nursing home pharmacy, or hospital pharmacy is preferred.
