Performs tasks within the department which directly support the ongoing duties and responsibilities of the pharmacist(s). Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of medications while under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triages calls to the appropriate person if he/she cannot answer the requested information.
Applies departmental processes, as guided by corporate initiatives, regarding inventory control. . Position Highlights (5) 8-hour shifts that rotate between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm Monday - Friday. Currently every 4th weekend rotation.
Saturday and Sunday hours are 7:00am - 5:00pm. Holiday rotation with hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm. Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered. Key Responsibilities Assists the pharmacist(s) in the preparation of medications. Assists the pharmacist(s) in the distribution of medications.
Assists the pharmacist(s) in processes regarding inventory control. Operates computer systems and utilizes technology. Familiar with organization and function of all units.
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, empathy, and unconditional positive regard toward all patients and co-workers. Establishes measurable yearly goals and objectives. Consistently promotes teamwork and communicates effectively.
