Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Location: Clarion Psychiatric Center – Clarion, PA Primary Need: We are seeking a PRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide flexible coverage at Clarion Psychiatric Center. The primary need is for coverage every other Sunday, with an additional one weekday per week. Candidates should also be available to assist with PRN holiday and vacation coverage as needed.

Clarion Psychiatric Center in western Pennsylvania is seeking a board certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for inpatient services. The new associate will join an experienced multi-disciplinary team of Psychiatrists, PMHNPs, Nurses, Therapists and Administration to better meet the needs of the Behavioral Health needs in the region. The region is located just north of Pittsburgh nestled in an ideal environment to raise a family with good school systems, affordable housing and a close knit community.

The area offers great outdoor activities such as state parks, championship golf courses and lakes for boating. City activities are less than a two-hour drive away to Pittsburgh. Clarion is a private 112-bed private facility nestled on 14 acres overlooking the Clarion River basin providing a peaceful therapeutic environment for patients and their families for over 30 years. Clarion offers general broad based psychiatric clinical services and treatment for children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patient populations. Qualifications PRN Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Clarion Psychiatric Center | Clarion, PA Clarion Psychiatric Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide PRN medical coverage within our inpatient psychiatric hospital.

This role is primarily focused on Sunday coverage and one weekday, with the opportunity to pick up additional PRN hours based on availability and interest. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider who values flexibility and is interested in supporting the medical care of psychiatric inpatients in a collaborative, team-based environment. The provider will work with patients ages 10 and older in partnership with psychiatry, nursing, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities Perform admission histories and physicals as needed Evaluate and manage routine and urgent medical concerns for psychiatric inpatients Review laboratory and diagnostic results and place orders within scope of practice Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and facility leadership Support continuity of care in a structured inpatient psychiatric setting Qualifications Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Active Pennsylvania license, or ability to obtain one Experience working with psychiatric or behavioral health patients preferred Inpatient experience strongly preferred Strong communication skills and comfort working in a multidisciplinary team Interest in Sunday coverage required; openness to additional PRN shifts preferred Why This Role Flexible PRN schedule with a consistent need for Sunday coverage Supportive, team-oriented inpatient environment Opportunity to contribute meaningfully to psychiatric patient care No on-call requirement associated with this position
