You’ll need
Licensure
✓Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
Certifications
✓Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current.
✓Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
✓Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
Education
✓High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
Qualifications
✓Hired before March 2026,are exempt
✓Two (2) years of acute care experience required.

What you’ll do
Will provide treatments suchWill provide treatments such as inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications to help patients breathe more easily
Conduct tests like pulmonaryConduct tests like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to assess lung capacity and gas exchange in patients
Set up, monitor, andSet up, monitor, and adjust ventilators and other life-supporting equipment for patients who cannot breathe independently
May be part ofMay be part of a rapid response team in emergencies, which you will provide airway management, perform intubations, and resuscitate patients in critical situations
Assess patients' respiratory statusAssess patients' respiratory status, monitor their progress, and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
