The Certified Sterile Processing Technician has chosen and accomplished certification in Sterile Processing. Education High School Diploma or GED Experience No prior work experience required.
Licenses & Certifications *Certified Sterile Processor Qualifications *Ability to perform physical and visual aspects of the job. *Ability to read and write legibly with spelling accuracy and have good mathematical skills. *Basic medical terminology and knowledge of the human body. *Dependable, honest, and shows integrity in all aspects of the job. *General computer knowledge. *Must be certified as a sterile processing technician. *Pleasant professional demeanor when dealing with customers and coworkers. *Requires the ability to speak with others with pride, voice control, and confidence using correct English and well-modulated voice.
In lieu of certification, 1 year- consecutive 12 months experience in a sterile processing department in a hospital setting or has been employed in SPD at THS for 1 year- 12 consecutive months.
