Day Shift Description: Surgical technologists work cooperatively with the circulating RN and under the supervision and delegatory authority of a surgeon to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures. Job Status: Full Time
Days
Maintains Established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, infection control and AORN standards. Pulls cases from preference cards accurately and completely. Prepares room with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment.
Sets up for procedures. Assist the surgical team during operative procedures. Proper breakdown of sterile field after procedures.
Cleans and prepares rooms between procedures. Restocks, maintains and cares for equipment and supplies department wide. What you will need: Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program.
Surgical Technology certification or completion of certification within 1 year of hire. Preferred Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) certification . Preferred One-year prior work experience as a Surgical Technologist .
Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral. Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives. Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.
