Certified Surgical Technologist

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are sterile and readily available. Assist in positioning patients appropriately for surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure. Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist with the maintenance of a sterile field during operations.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide the required instruments or supplies in a timely manner. Monitor the patient's vital signs and comfort level during procedures, reporting any concerns to the medical team immediately. Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, instrument counts, and other relevant documentation as required.

Participate in the disinfection and sterilization of instruments and ensure the proper cleaning of the surgical environment post-procedure. Requirements Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited agency. Previous experience in a surgical setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and techniques.

Knowledge of basic surgical instruments, sterile processing, and infection control measures. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods, along with the ability to lift and move patients as required. Commitment to ongoing education and staying current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
