The Chaplain functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, group facilitator and role modeling to patients based on unit assignment. The chaplain utilizes clinical and pastoral skills to assist the treatment team in giving care to patients. Special focus is given to developing the religious resources of each patient in the healing process. performs therapy services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, crisis intervention, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Degree from an accredited college or university in Biblical or Religious counseling/studies preferred.
Past experience in pastoral or ministry required. One year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness and chemical dependency (12 step program) preferred.
