As a Charge Capture Specialist , you’ll serve as a strategic resource for Epic charge capture and documentation workflows across Physician Services. Using data, reporting, and revenue insights, you’ll identify trends, improve processes, and help teams strengthen charge accuracy, documentation, and operational efficiency. As a Charge Capture Specialist, a typical day might include: Analyzing charge capture and documentation workflows using error trends, reconciliation reports, and revenue leakage data.
Identifying systemic issues and high-impact error trends across Haiku/Canto mobile charge entry, manual charge corrections, and professional billing workflows. Designing and implementing standardized charge capture workflows to improve accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. Partnering with Revenue Integrity, IT, and Finance to reconcile charges between clinical documentation, Epic charge entry, and downstream billing systems.
Developing and delivering targeted training for physicians, clinical staff, and operational teams on Epic documentation and charge capture best practices. Creating job aids, tip sheets, and real-time support tools to promote error prevention and charge accuracy. Identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and standardization to reduce recurring errors and improve data integrity.
Collaborating with operational and clinical leaders to integrate best practices into daily workflows and support compliance. Serving as a subject matter expert for revenue integrity, documentation compliance, and charge reconciliation initiatives. Providing data-driven recommendations to leadership and partnering with stakeholders to establish sustainable education and process improvement strategies.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Health Information Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience . 4+ years of experience in revenue cycle, charge capture, revenue integrity within an Epic environment, or related role required .
Epic Professional Billing certification is strongly preferred, with CPC, CCS, or related coding certifications a plus. A Master’s degree and demonstrated experience in data analytics, revenue reconciliation, and workflow optimization are preferred. Strong knowledge of Excel and skills are essential.
Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4PM (flexible start time), Full-Time 40 hours per week.
