ExemptA Brief OverviewThe CN consistently provides leadership and clinical expertise within the department as they provide care to the smallest and most vulnerable population. The CN is the direct supervisor to the NICU registered nurses and patient care techs. Charge nurse responsibilities primarily focus on managing the operational aspects of the department including scheduling, daily assignments, staff communication, interdisciplinary team collaboration, on boarding of new staff, and overall staff performance. The CN ensures compliance with all standards of patient care and follows up on any concerns or issues that arise.Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN) PreferredExperience Qualifications2 years Current experience in related clinical field in acute care facility. PreferredSupervisor experience. PreferredExperience with infants. PreferredSkills and AbilitiesDemonstrates awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other, as identified within the institution.
