  • Charge RN II – Maternal/Newborn – Full-time Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132Work hours: Full-time, 6:45PM-7:15AM, (3) 12-hour shifts/week, schedule varies including some weekend and holiday coverageMaternal/Newborn Department highlights:· Self
  • Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growthMother friendly designated, a Texas 10
  • Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility· Our team is like a family with a newly renovated Mother/Baby, couplet care unit with 26-beds· Average between 285
  • 300 deliveries per monthHere’s What You Need· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required· BSN – Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred· RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required· One-year (1) Year Experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting Required· 2-years’ experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting preferred· 2-years current Mother/Baby RN experience strongly preferred· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days Required· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required· demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.· maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients· possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism· have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

  • committed to developing their individual knowledge and skills, as well as advancing the profession of nursing and engaging in lifelong learning/development.
  • evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
