AA/AAS degree in Early Childhood or related field as defined by DHHS Division of Child Development Education unit.
minimum of 2-year verifiable experience in a childcare center, or years of experience working with children up to 12 years of age, required. Licensure/Certification: NC Credentials or equivalency defined by regulatory compliance Division of Child Development Workforce Unit, required. Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.
ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) within 2 months of hire (infants up to 12 months of age)of age), required. Additional Skills (required): DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background Letter (required renewal every 5 years), and Workforce letter (within 60 days of hire) or education verification until workforce letter is obtain. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
BSAC required for those working with school age children. CDL for school age if driving the buses.· NC Division of Child Development Qualifying Letter/Criminal Background letter · NC Division of Child Development Workforce letter within 2 months of hire · NC Institute for Child Development Professional ECE Certification within 2 months of hireCPR/First Aid completion within 2 months of hire. ITS SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome training) for teachers work in the classroom infants up to 2 years of age within 2 months of hire.
