- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status and needs. - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. - Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families. - Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. - Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards. - Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and professional development activities. - Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies. - Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and community resources. - Stay updated with the latest research and developments in mental health therapy practices.
Qualifications Required
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution. - Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of practice. Required
- Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting providing therapy to individuals with mental health disorders. - Experience in working with individuals diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) or other chronic illnesses is highly preferred. - Proven track record of developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
