St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health and has served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St.
Catherine’s is located on the north shore of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Meeting, greeting, and orienting patients to floor Answering questions from patients and/or family members or redirects to appropriate care team member for response Transcribes orders; prepares pt. chart on admission; ensures that chart is maintained appropriately; dismantles chart upon discharge; prepares diet & census sheets; rewrites medex' once a week; prepares venipuncture list; assists in coordinating and compiling statistics as needed Performs patient and specimen transport duties Assists the care team with the discharge process Answers telephones in a professional manner; distributes mail
High School diploma or GED equivalent required Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a doctor's office or health care facility Must be computer literate and proficient in word processing. Medical terminology preferred Posted Salary Range USD $26.18 - USD $26.18 /Hr. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job, and it does not include the value of benefits.
