This position assumes responsibility for working together as a team to by performing analysis tasks, birth certificate completions, the merging of medical record numbers, release of information and diagnostic verification as assigned. (20%)* Chart prep, Quality Checking, scanning and validation. Other clerical duties as needed. (20%)* Answering phone and working with internal and external customers.
OTHER DUTIES AND
Chart prepping, scanning, QC and Validation. Covering other areas of the clerical and Clerk 1 duties as needed. Maintains departmental customer relation will all customers such as patients, physicians, other health care professional, general public and MyMichigan Health affiliates.
Works with non-clerical (coders, transcriptions, charge capture analysis, mpi coordinator) health information staff in the course of their daily duties. All other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake. Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
