✓Requirements
Certifications
✓Phlebotomy experience is 3 months phlebotomy experience, or a Clinical Phlebotomy certificate, or 6 months experience in a medical field providing patient care which includes drawing blood.
✓The Phlebotomy Certificate must include a minimum of 32 hours of a clinical rotation.
✓Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
✓Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
✓MVR must meet NRHS MVR policy criteria or Defensive Driving must be taken.
Education
✓High school education or equivalent GED.
✓(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)
Qualifications
✓Proper Phone Etiquette.
✓Requires some knowledge of medical terminology.
✓Skill in use of computers including word processing.
✓Requires three months customer service experience.
✓Requires experience as a phlebotomist.
✓Experience as a phlebotomist may be substituted for Customer Service experience.
✓Outreach employees must have a Valid Oklahoma State Driver’s license with less than 3 points on his/her record if being hired into department # 40110.
Prefer 1 year of experience in a medical setting. preferred
