Clinic Receptionist - Imaging Department Essential

Greets and registers patients or other visitors, informs staff of patients' arrival, and directs patients to appropriate department or examination room.
Gathers and updates patient contact or other personal information. Collects and inputs patient insurance information and verifies active coverage or eligibility. Collects co-pays or other fees due to the facility.
Answers and transfers phone calls, schedules appointments, arranges for referrals, or relays messages. May perform occasional clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, or photocopying; clerical duties may require experience with medical records or electronic health record systems. Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Preferred Education and Experience General office experience. Previous customer service. Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Aide Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Knowledge of medical transcription, medical terminology and various software programs.
Working knowledge of various computer programs (Word, Excel). Working knowledge of office equipment, i.e. copier, fax machine, etc. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Physical
