Clinic Surgical Scheduler

Clinic Surgical SchedulerJob DescriptionClinic Surgical Schedulers are responsible for scheduling a high volume of surgeries. This position coordinates with multiple departments to schedule surgeries, including corresponding tests and pre-op procedures done in the outpatient/inpatient setting.

The Scheduler provides instructions and documentation to facilitate the scheduling and performance of surgical procedures. Responsibilities include checking medical necessity of procedure and test, and performing prior authorization as required. This position serves as a liaison between office, procedural area and the patient.

In addition, this position performs clerical and scheduling duties as needed by individual clinic/office setting and as directed by Clinic Supervisor or Director.
